The State of Louisiana
 
Know all men by these presents, That John Walker -------------- of the State of Louisiana and the Parish of St. Landry and Thomas Reynolds of the aforesaid State and Parish -------------- are held and firmly bound unto George King, Parish Judge and ex-officio Judge of the Court of Probates, in and for the Parish of St. Landry, and to his successors in office, in the sum of two thousand one hundred dollars, for the payment of which, well and truly, they bind themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally:
 
In Witness Whereof, They have hereunto signed at Opelousas, this 1st day of September in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty five.
 
The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That Whereas the above bound ------- John Walker ------ has been appointed Administrator of the succession of the late Jeremiah Walker of said Parish of St. Landry deceased.
 
Now if he the said, John Walker ---------- shall well and faithfully administer the Estate of said deceased --------- render a just account thereof, and pay over the same when thereto lawfully required, and finally shall do and perform all and singular the functions and duties incumbent on him as administrator as aforesaid, according to Law, then the above obligationto be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force.
