This day the sevententh of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty pursuant to an order of the Court of Probate, I George King, Parish Judge & ex-officio Notary Public and -- Auctioneer in and for the aforesaid have proceeded to the residence of Eugene Egan situate in said Parish and distant about twenty-five miles from the Courthouse in order to sell at public auction the property to the Estate of the late John Walker deceased, and the said Eugene Egan in partnership. (The said Egan consenting to and confirming sale) On the following terms and conditions, to wit, the lands payable one third on the fifteenth day of June next, one third on the fifteenth day of April in the year on thousand eight hundred and forty one and the remaining third on the fifteenth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty two and the movables in six months from and after the date hereof, purchasers giving approved personal security and the lands remaining specially mortgaged until the entire payment of the principle and the interest which may accrue thereon, it being stipulated and understood that all sums not punctually paid will bear interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum from maturity. The sale having been advertised according to Laws of the Parish & conditions proclaimed aloud to the people in attendance at the time and place we have sold and adjudicated to the last and highest bidders as follows, to wit.
