Know all men by these that I FEREBY WHATLEY being of sound mind and memory and understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First. I will and bequeath at my death unto my son WILLIS WHATLEY [Rev. Willis Richard Whatley] my bed and bedding.
Second. At the same time it is my will that the balance of my property be equally divided between my son WILLIS WHATLEY and my son in law JEREMIAH COOK.
I have made the above disposition of my property to the exclusion of the rest of my children not from the want of affection towards them but because of the advantage which they have already had over the above named WILLIS WHATLEY and JEREMIAH COOK in the division of my husband's estate.
I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint WILLIS WHATLEY and JEREMIAH COOK executors to this my last will and testament and to hereby revoke and make void all and every other wills by me at anytime there to fore made and do declare this to be my last will and testament. This the Twenty Eight day of October One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty.

Personally appeared before me Jesse W. Timmerman who being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God, says he was present and saw Fereby Whatley sign, seal and acknowledge the foregoing instrument to be and contain her last will and testament, and that she Fereby Whatley was then of sound and disposing mind and memory, to the best of this deponents knowledge and belief, and that he Jesse W. Timmerman with John Lake and W. M. Timmerman signed their names as witnesses at the request of the testatrix, and in being presence and in the presence of each other.
This the 7th day of August 1843. S? T? qualified JEREMIAH COOK
