This is the back of the note of debt for $156.25 owed to James Akinhead from Thomas J. Walker, dated July 20, 1857. This entry on the back of the note was made on Feb. 20, 1858 and indicates that the debt may have been paid in full plus interest. Thomas seems to have paid $56.07 on Feb. 20, 1858, and a C. D. Tatman paid $120.00 on Mar. 1, 1861. So it appears that Thomas was alive until Feb. 1858, but was dead when the final amount was paid by Mr. Tatman.
