State of Louisiana Parish of St. Landry Pursuant to an order of the Court of Probate, I George King Parish Judge and ex-officio autioneer in and for the Parish of St. Landry have this day the sixteenth of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty proceeded to the residence of the late John Walker situated in said parish and distant about thirty miles from the Court House, in order to sell at public auction the property belonging to the succession of said deceased on the following terms and conditions, towit, the moveable property payable on the fifteenth day of June next and the slaves and real estate payable one third on the fifteenth day of June next, one third on the fifteenth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty one, and the remaining third on the fifteenth day of April in the year one thousand eight hundred and forty two, purchasers giving approved personal security and the real estate and slaves remaining specially mortgaged to the succession until the entire payment of the purchase money and interest which may accrue thereon amount thereon is being stipulated and understood that all sums not punctually paid shall bear interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum from maturity --- The sale having been advertised according to Law and the terms and conditions ---- and also that the payments are to be made to Caleb Swayze Esq. at his office in the town of Opelousas ---- being proclaimed aloud to the people in attendance we have proceeded to sell and adjudicate to the last and highest bidder as follows ----- First - A negro girl named Amanda aged about twelve years sold to Zenon Guillory for the sum of six hundred & twenty dollars and security Lastie Guillory620.00 Lastie GuilloryZenon Guillory Amt.
