Frances (Whittington) Walker Horse Dispute - 1862 1

Note: Frances (Whittington) Walker was the widow of Thomas Jefferson Walker and mother of Emily Ophelia Walker. She was 44 years old at the time that she was having trouble with a Watly (Whatley) who had taken a horse that belonged to her. Whatley believed she owed him some property and took the horse to hold for payment. Frances went to the Justice of the Peace, W. S. Cushmon, to ask him to get her horse back. This document is the result of that request.
