Children
We'll leave this world without a debt,
Having had the pleasure to beget
Children, who, from a simple outset,
Do not their place in life forget.
When it's time for our souls to flee,
Our children remain in eulogy,
Not as an image for all to see,
But to carry forth our memory.
So in this life where we beset
Upon a world that will forget,
We leave our children in silhouette
Of two who'll pass without regret.
